UA Start-up Company in the news and on the move

Unify Medical Inc., who entered an exclusive license in 2018 to technology developed at UA has been recognized by Time Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2024 in the medical care category. 

Dr. Yang Liu, who was an assistant professor in UA’s Department of Biomedical Engineering from 2013 to 2018, developed the initial prototype.  The company has launched AmplioTM which is a platform technology that enables next-generation surgical visualization in a wearable form factor. Various capabilities of AmplioTM include surgical magnification, fluorescence imaging, night vision, surgical navigation, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality.
