  • Review and sign Non-Disclosure Agreement 
  • Watch "How to Build a Startup" (online course) Lesson 3 and 4: Business Models and Customer Development.
    • ​Sign up for free account with udacity.com to access videos
  • Conduct 3 customer interviews
  • Prepare a 90-second elevator pitch presentation

Session 1
Class Topics:
  • Introduction of Program
  • Business Model Canvas Basics
  • Forming Customer and Value Proposition Hypothesis ​
Deliverables for following week:
  • Watch "How to Build a Startup" (online course) Lesson 2: What We Know Now and Lesson 6: Customer Segments
  • Week 1 Workbook to document hypotheses on customer segment and value proposition
  • Conduct 3 additional customer interviews (total of 6)

Session 2
Entrepreneurial Leads meet with I-Corps Administrators to go over customer segment and value proposition hypotheses
Deliverables for following week:​
  • Watch "How to Build a Startup" Lesson 5: Value Proposition
  • Conduct 3 additional customer interviews (total of 9)
  • Prepare for 5-minute Q&A using Presentation Template #1

  • Customer Interviewing Techniques
  • Market Research
Deliverables for following week:
  • Watch “How to Build a Startup” Lesson 7: Channels and Lesson 8: Customer Relationships
  • Week 3 Workbook documenting interview strategy
  • Conduct 3 additional customer interviews (total of 12)
  • Market Research Form
Session 4
Entrepreneurial Leads meet with I-Corps Administrators to discuss progress during the program, interview feedback and any next steps.
Deliverables for following week​:​
  • Competitive Products Form
  • Conduct 3 additional customer interviews (total of 15)
  • Prepare for 5-minute Q&A using Presentation Template #1
  • Client Engagement Letter
  • University Budget Form or W-9 Form

  • Personas, Profiles & Work Flow Maps ​

  • Week 5 Workbook documenting customer profile and work flow map.
